| PhaseCalc for Steam is an
implementation of IAPWS-95, the internationally-recognized fundamental
equation for the fluid properties and phase behavior of water
and steam (Release on the IAPWS Formulation 1995 for the
Thermodynamic Properties of Ordinary Water Substance for General
and Scientific Use, September 1996 available at
http://www.iapws.org). PhaseCalc for Steam
can be used to predict the properties of water and steam over a
wide range of pressures and temperatures of industrial interest.
It can be used to analyze the performance of process equipment
such as compressors, valves, or pipeline systems where water or
steam is involved. |

| The program operates like a spreadsheet. By specifying two
thermodynamic properties, or a property and a phase condition,
the remaining properties are calculated using the IAPWS-95
formulation. PhaseCalc for Steam is designed to run on
Microsoft Windows using the
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
