| Pocket MediBill is an
application that contains software utilities designed to assist
physicians with the submission of electronic health service
claims. Version 1.0 of Pocket
MediBill contains a program to check the validity of
personal and practitioner health numbers in Alberta, or any
other Canadian province or territory, excluding Quebec. The
program does not determine whether a patient's registration is
effective on the date of service. |
|
| An example use might be the validation of a registration
number of an out-of-province patient. Often these numbers are
processed by electronic billing programs, such as
MediBill, but by the time
the claim information is entered into the billing system, the
patient may have been discharged from the treatment facility. |
| |
|
 |
Pocket MediBill is designed to run on
a Windows
Mobile 5.0 PocketPC using the
Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0.
